The deep pink flowers of 'Weser River Sandstone', each individual disk floret with a perfect white center, are held in flat panicles atop 30-in. stems. Named for a river in Germany which flows into the North Sea, 'Weser River Sandstone' is excellent as a cut flower or as part of a naturalized border. Long blooming.

Commemorates Achilles, the brave hero of the Trojan War, who was virtually invulnerable—except for his heel. Achillea, or yarrow, has long been reputed to have healing properties. Used to stanch wounds in battle, it has been called soldier’s woundwort. Other common names are carpenter grass and sneezewort. Hardy and easy to grow, this perennial herb is virtually pest- and disease-free. Clumps expand quickly; divide to keep manageable.
